Our Mission is to provide exceptional performances and programs of Medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque music to as many and diverse audiences as possible. We also make occasional forays into Modern and Traditional musics. Why? Because back in the day musicians played both classical and vernacular music and most of the music was newly composed. Bach, Handel, and Vivaldi didn't play Baroque music. They played modern music.
Baroque Northwest is the presenting organization for the Baroque Northwest ensemble. The organization also presents workshops directed by members of the ensemble and occasionally by visiting artists. We are not a presenting organization for other ensembles. We are, however, interested in learning about individual artists. Please feel free to send us URLs of your work.
